A Period House in a Mendip Village
The house stands behind a stone wall, with tall chimneys and a sage-green front door framed by climbing plants and a white picket fence. Gravel paths run between planted borders to the stone outbuildings. Doulting has a 12th-century church and sits eight miles from Wells and ten from Frome.

Stone Floors, Open Fires and an Aga
Inside, a stone-floored hall leads past a red cabinet to the staircase. An open fire burns in the sitting room among leather sofas and timber floorboards, and the kitchen has oak cabinetry, an Aga and a farmhouse dining table.

A Long Lawn and an Annexe
Behind the house, a long lawn runs out beneath mature trees, and the former cart shed is now a two-bedroom annexe with its own kitchen and shower room. Captura photographs homes across Shepton Mallet, Wells and the Mendips for agents including Killens. Every shot hand-edited.
